NEW EESAS COURSE REGISTRANTS

This is the Enhanced Emergency Sexual Assault Services (EESAS) course. It is a free course for professionals, particularly but not restricted to  those working in rural and remote rural communities who wish to provide comprehensive sexual assault services. This includes social workers, nurses, physicians, EMTs, police and other community sexual assault advocates.  Registration is ongoing- can join at any time.  The course consists of 8 videos (each about 30 minutes) and associated quizzes for a total of approximately 4.5 hours of time. The course outline is available by clicking the “EESAS-outline-2019” link above. There are also additional resources for each module to help your understanding of the issues clients face after assault and steps professionals can take to assist.

If you are one of these professionals, you can CLICK on the EESAS course title at the top- it will take you to a login/registration page to register yourself into the course.  You can then complete the modules and quizzes on your own schedule. A certificate is issued once you complete all the modules.

PLEASE NOTE:  This course is designed for first responders (e.g. paramedics, nurses, doctors, counsellors, police) to provide health and support services. It MAY be triggering to other professions. If you are not one of these professions, please contact the director to discuss eligibility to register (cartersnell@forensiceducation.ca)
